Marisa's Purpose Annual Race 2 Recovery

Every Fall we host a 5K run or 11.5 mile bike ride/race to support our efforts. The proceeds help us to continue to support underserved communities with resources, speakers and educational information to help reduce the stigma of addictions in our communities. Your participation will help us to continue to help families learn techniques and warning signs to help prevent our children and adults from going down the wrong path.

Awards will be presented for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place for males and females of each race, and one overall winner for each race.

Time/Date/Location

Allerton Park & Retreat Center Monticello, Illinois Saturday, September 23, 2023 Packet Pick-up & Same Day Registration 7:00 – 8:15 am $30 per person

5k Walk/Run

The walk will be inside the park. We will provide water bottles during and after the race. 

Post Race:  pizza, fruits, snacks, water and Gatorade after the race Kona Ice .

11.5 Mile Bike Ride/Race

The bike ride will start inside the park and move to the country roads around the park. Riders must follow the rules of the road, bike helmet is mandatory.

Virtual Run or Ride

Can't make it to our race? Run/Ride with us virtually! Virtual participants must register by August 31, 2023. You will be mailed your race packet that will include race goodies, and information on how to report your finish time to Connie Gyorr 630-234-8175 or marisaspurpose@gmail.com.
